I got a free washer and dryer from my old house when I moved out, so I hooked them up in the garage.
Unfortunately, the knobs on the washer hookups had not aged gracefully, and water started leaking all over the place - even if I tried to shut the knobs back off. I temporarily had to shut off water to the house while I darted out for supplies before the store closed for the night.
There were many fittings that required careful application of teflon tape, and I spent several hours struggling with pipe wrenches before emerging victorious. I also managed to break the old faucet while disassembling it, so that got replaced as well. So far, so good. That's enough excitement for one night though. Time to hit the sack!
