After many long months with slow/minimal progress, I finally managed to nag my way through the permit process. The heavy construction begins on Monday!
In other news, my appliances arrived in early February, and the cabinets have trickled in over the course of several months. Sorry for the delay. Here's a picture of the fridge at its temporary location by my living space (a.k.a. bedroom #3 minus a few walls).
Here's a mock-up of the layout of the kitchen island that will overlook the living/dining areas. The wall will be long-gone before these things are installed.
I also mocked up the stove and adjacent cabinets to make sure that everything will fit. It'll be tight.
Over the past few months, I've wired up as much of the house as possible prior to the heavy construction.
